Site crew workwear for a roads contractor

A roads contractor won a highway rehabilitation contract and needed 240 people in branded, compliant kit before the site handover date. The previous supplier had taken eleven weeks on a smaller order the year before.

We supplied the garments as well as branding them, which removed a whole procurement step. Sizes were collected on a single form we prepared for their HR team, and we held back twenty percent of the order in the common sizes for new starters, which is where these orders usually come unstuck.

The challenge

The crew had to be in compliant, branded kit before site handover in under a month, across five trades and sizes from small to 5XL. The previous supplier had taken eleven weeks for a smaller order.

What we built

We supplied and branded in one order rather than waiting on a clothing wholesaler. Conti-suits were screen printed front and back, hi-vis vests were branded around the reflective tape rather than over it, and each trade got a different colour so supervisors could read the site at a glance.

The results

Delivered in nineteen days, five days before handover. The size buffer covered forty-one new starters over the following four months without a single re-order lead time.
